Stage 1 Map
From East Croydon Station, turn left and follow the Tram line into Addiscome Road. Turn right into Park Hill Road. Go straight across the roundabout.
Stage 2 Map
At the end of Park Hill Road, turn right then left into South Park Hill Road, via two mini roundabouts. At the end of South Park Hill Road, turn right into Croham Road. At the roundabout, bear to the right into Selsdon Road. Follow the on way system, which takes you into Bartletts Road. Turn right into Brighton Road.
Stage 3 Map
Take an almost immediate left turn into Warham Road. Follow the road, crossing straight over a roundabout, where the road becomes Denning Avenue. Keep going until you get to the "Fiveways Corner" junction. Here, you need to cross straight over onto Stafford Road. Follow this road.
Stage 4 Map
Stafford Road eventually becomes Stanley Park Road. Follow the road, crossing over the roundabout. Cross over Beeches Avenue into Staplehurst Road. Climb up the hill, then take a right into Banstead Road. Ride down the hill, crossing under the Railway Bridge. At the end of the road, turn left into Park Hill. At the lights, go straight over into Pound Street. Cross over the roundabout. Here the scenery makes a surprising change. Until now, we've been through typical suburban areas. The large pond, and surrounding greenery in Carshalton gives much more of a "village" impression. Take a left into North Street, crossing over the pond. Pass Carshalton Railway station on your left.
Stage 5 Map
At the roundabout, bear right into Nightingale Road, passing the college on your right. The road becomes Hackbridge Road. At the end, turn right into London Road. Pass Hackbridge Railway Station on your left. Just after passing "The Grange" on your left, turn left into Derek Avenue.
Stage 6 Map
Derek Avenue is signposted as "No Entry", but cyclists are allowed to turn into it from London Road. At the end of Derek Avenue, turn left into Croydon Road.
Stage 7 Map
Follow Croydon Road, until you come to "The Plough" on your right. Immediately after this, turn right into Plough Lane. At the end of Plough Lane, turn left into Stafford Road. We're now back on the route we started on. Follow the road until you reach the "Fiveways Corner" junction again. Here, we need to take a right into Denning Avenue. Making this turn can be tricky. If the traffic's heavy, it's best to get off and walk over using the zebra crossings. Follow Denning Avenue. Cross over the roundabout, where the road becomes Warham Road. At the end of the road, cross straight over Brighton Road and turn right into Selsdon Road.
Stage 8 Map
Follow Selsdon Road, then at the roundabout turn into Croham Road. Turn left into South Park Hill Road, then right and immediate left into Park Hill Road, via the two mini roundabouts.
Stage 9 Map
Go straight over the roundabout, to stay on Park Hill Road. At the end of the road, turn left into Addiscombe Road. To avoid negotiating the one way system, it's easiest to get off and cross Addiscombe Road just before the threepenny bit building. Walk across Cherry Orchard Road at the Zebra crossing, past the Post Office,then East Croydon Station is right ahead of you.
